Hi my name is Penny I live in Far North Queensland up in the Tropics Sun all year.
Back in April this year I noticed a spot on my face. I tried all the methods I usually use for a spot, but it was here to stay. My Husband insisted I go to the Skin Doctors. The Doctor looked and said Oh Dear it could be a bad one. Lucky for me it turned out to be an abnormal Carcinoma.
Gemma is a Lanner falcon that came into the Centre on the 10 July 2020. We got a call from Toyota in Burgersfort that someone who was bringing a car in for service has hit a bird and not knowing what to do had just placed it in the back of the bakkie and left the car for service. We were contacted and went out to get the bird. We took her through to our vets in White River and xrays revealed a midshaft fracture of the radius and ulna of the right wing.
On June 2nd 2019 I had what I thought was a rash but after the 2nd day it had spread from my left breast to my upper arm and they looked like blisters. So we went in search of a doctor! We haven't had the need for one for quite awhile. We knew this was now urgent: pain was bad, eventually found a doctor in the local shopping centre. He immediately said 'You've got shingles.'. I couldn't believe it, I thought only very sick or stressed people got shingles and I was neither.
