This article is based on e-mail educational series that describes key practicalities of working with coMra therapy in daily life.

Overview of coMra benefits

coMra therapy has various health effects and brings at least some benefit in most cases. To properly support healing process special treatments were designed for common diseases or groups of them, considering anatomy and biology of disease.

All such treatment approaches, based on the experience and research, are listed in the User Guide. It is updated as a new knowledge and experience becomes available.

Potential of coMra therapy is not limited to the treatments in the User Guide. Innovative or improved treatments may become available in the future without the need to change or update the device itself.

coMra therapy combines well with many other therapies and healing methods. So feel free to combine coMra with your other favourite healing modalities or apply coMra in cases not listed in the User Guide.

Please feel free to request more information regarding your particular case, if what is available online does not answer your question.

There are several ways how coMra benefits are visible in everyday use.

coMra speeds up tissue recovery. Various wounds and trauma would heal visibly faster.

coMra therapy brings more balance into various body processes. As an example, often people with high blood pressure, would have it lower and people with low blood pressure would have it higher.

Another aspect of coMra therapy is its pain relief effect. It does take more or less time to get the effect, but in most cases coMra brings pain relief during and after the session.

There is a sleep moderating effect. Normally, especially if you are treating yourself in the evening, you would want be sleepy when doing the treatment. And would have a refreshing good night sleep after the treatment.

Besides visible effects there are many effects that could be seen with lab tests. Quite soon after starting the treatments many important blood measures significantly improve. MRI, CT and other scans would show deep regeneration happening in the body.

And of course all of that combined will bring about healing. That will manifest as a better overall quality of life, less pain, better energy and concentration, better sleep and appetite, high resistance to infections, balanced emotional patterns, etc.

What points are targeted with coMra

In treating many types of acute injuries, such as cuts and sports injuries, it is often only necessary to treat the injured body part itself. This is a local approach and it works well for simple injuries. But if we want to treat more serious injuries, especially chronic conditions and illnesses, a more comprehensive approach is required.

Local treatments and systemic

When it comes to serious diseases a wide variety of different metabolic processes within our cells, and throughout the body, become disrupted and impaired. Therefore, in treating longstanding or chronic conditions and ailments, greater benefits are provided by a combination of a systemic approach with a local approach. For that you will be treating:

- Tissue and organs that have been injured or damaged,
- The nervous system: brain, spinal cord, ganglia and nerve pathways;
- Circulatory system: arteries, veins, lymph nodes;
- Immune system: blood, lymphoid organs;
- Endocrine system: adrenal glands, thyroid, etc;
- Other internal organs: kidneys, liver, lymph, colon, etc;

Placement of the device

coMra Palm is placed directly onto the skin. Positioning of the device over a point as shown on a treatment diagram should be done with a reasonable accuracy and does not require high precision.

Laser beam emitted by coMra Palm is divergent and covers area wide as device itself as it goes deeper into the body.

Time and frequency

coMra Palm is very safe. Doing longer treatments will not harm. Experiment to see what works best for you. Acute conditions, pain and physical injury can be treated as frequently as 4-5 times per day for the first few days, and frequency of treatments can then be reduced as necessary.

5 Hz is the frequency used for deep penetration – for treating the internal organs, skeletal structure of the body, blood.

50 Hz is the frequency often used when treating muscle disorders, injuries and ailments that are closer to the surface of the skin.

1000 Hz mainly works on the skin and subcutaneous levels. It is used mostly for treating burns, open wounds, superficial ulcers, skin disorders.

The Variable Frequency setting (V), which varies intermittently between 5 Hz, 50 Hz and 1000 Hz, is used mostly for joints and bone fractures, larger wounds, infections.

How to operate coMra Palm

Charge your coMra Palm before use. Plug the micro end of the USB cable into the rear of your coMra Palm, and the other end into any powered USB port.

A red LED indicator next to the on/off switch will light up and the battery will start charging.

When the battery is fully charged the red LED indicator will switch off.

To power-up your coMra Palm, slide the on/off switch to green.

Once the device is on, the Frequency and Time buttons and corresponding display will light up.

Cycle through the two buttons to select the time and frequency for your treatment as shown in the coMra user guide (http://comra-palm.com/landing/downloads.html).

Place your coMra Palm onto the treatment point and press the start button to begin the program.

The sounder will beep and the start button will light up and pulsate indicating that the program is running.

When program is running do not stare at the working device (side where lights are flashing). It should be placed on your body. The laser in the centre of the device is infrared and is not visible with naked eye. It may damage your eyes while staring, even being not visible.

When the selected time comes to an end, two beeps will sound indicating the end of the program.

When you have completed your treatment and finished using your coMra Palm, slide the on/off switch to red and power-down the device to preserve battery life.

If you want to know more about coMra practicalities – study the coMra user guide. Both introductory material and various treatments. It will give you a good idea on how coMra works and principles of application depending on the disease.

Approaches to treating pain

Local pain is generally straightforward to treat. Identify the point/s of most severe pain and treat these, as well as 4-5 points around, and in the immediate vicinity.

Some people experience relief within 1 or 2 applications. Where there is a tissue damage or degradation it may take longer to resolve. There is a need for persistence with treatments so that tissue regeneration has needed support.

Experiment with the length of treatments, as well as the frequency of treatments. Treat as much as you need to get a relief. The different frequencies also have different effects.

With more complex types of pain, such as fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy, there is a range of systemic treatments needed.

With other neuropathic types of pain you will need to treat not only the spot where the pain is, but much more then that. Because some pain syndromes exist as a complex interaction between brain, spine and local spot.

To treat these you will need to work with all components and identify what sequence works for you. Sometimes treating local point may increase the level of pain, while working with points on the head and spine may give a relief.

When facing a complex chronic type of pain, there is a need for flexibility and experiment, to find out what works for you. Each chronic pain case is individual in a way. Feel free to ask for help when facing a nonresponding case.

Aspects of healing

Lack of any change after the first 4-5 treatments generally should point to a necessity to change treatment approach. Or further diagnostic investigation to determine if other medical or lifestyle influences are at play.

Healing involves many factors. These factors have often been at work for a considerable time before they have manifested "all of a sudden" as an illness.

Of necessity, healing involves a personal journey. It is up to the individual to decide the extent to which he or she wishes to take responsibility for their healing. And the extent to which he or she will acknowledge and address each of these factors.

Generally these factors are genetic predisposition, environmental influences, medication, diet, emotional and inner life.
